So, I'm leaving for Naples in about 40 min. for State Evaluation. For those who don't know what I'm talking about (and I'm assuming that that's most of you)I'll explain.

In band, you can play a solo or ensemble in front of a judge who will then give you some comments and a ranking on the scale:
Bad
Good
Excellent
Superior

Honestly, there may be a fair in there and I doubt there's one called 'bad' but that doesn't really matter right now. Anyway, the pieces you play also have rankings on their level of difficulty from 1 to 7. If you are in high school, and get a superior ranking on a level 5 or higher solo, you are elligible to go to States.

States is basically the same thing, only a higher calliber. You play in front of a judge who gives you a ranking. I'm playing tomorrow at around 10:30, so everyone cross their fingers for me!
